What the reviewers actually measured
GamesRadar reviewer Justin Towell says his story playthrough took about 12 hours: four in co-op and the remainder solo. The same review also describes the campaign as around 10 hours. That difference is why a range is more useful than a precise promise.
GameSpew describes roughly a dozen hours for the story, with sidequests along the way, in its PS5 review. The two reviews use different descriptions of what is included, so their numbers should not be combined into an average.
