Different reports need different tests

In the Reddit thread, the original poster describes crashes when jumping or falling into water after the opening mission. Other commenters describe explosions, the intro or crashes after a few minutes. Those reports do not establish one shared hardware defect.

One commenter reports that lowering effects and disabling background/sync software lengthened the time before a crash but still did not prevent boss crashes. A later commenter reports that limiting frame rate helped an intro crash. Neither report establishes a universal FPS target or guaranteed stability.

A reported attempt for GPU Crash dump Triggered

A commenter using the Xbox app/Game Pass PC version says they changed from D3D12 to a DirectX 11 launch attempt and stopped seeing their crash. Their method creates a desktop shortcut to gamelaunchhelper.exe in the game installation folder, keeps the existing quoted path, and adds -force -d3d11 after it.

They then launch through that shortcut. This was not reproduced by us, and the installation path varies. If you try it for a matching GPU-crash message, keep the original launcher route available and remove the added flags or shortcut if it fails. It does not establish a Steam, console or Linux solution.

Make a repeat useful

Record whether the crash happens at the same action, the full error text, storefront, GPU, graphics settings and any launch flags. Repeat the same short scenario after one change. Reaching the menu once is not evidence that a water, explosion or later mission crash is fixed.

If a setting only delays a crash, report that result honestly. Send the symptom and repeat steps to Minecraft Help; no developer-confirmed universal crash fix was found in the sources checked.
